Diana Navarro, David Bustamante, and Daniel Diges starred in one of the most emotional moments of Pope Leo XIV's visit to Madrid, performing the anthem Alza la mirada at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Holy Father made his entrance into the stadium to applause and music, in a massive event where thousands of attendees welcomed the pontiff in an atmosphere of strong symbolic and emotional charge.
On stage, the three performers combined their voices in a choral performance accompanied by dozens of dancers, who transformed the stadium into a grand visual and musical spectacle. The performance, artistically directed by Toño Casado, united very different styles: the flamenco sensibility of Diana Navarro, the pop tone of Bustamante, and the lyrical projection of Daniel Diges, in a joint interpretation that gave strength to the anthem.
Before the event, Diana Navarro highlighted the spiritual dimension of the moment and defended the power of music as a meeting point, emphasizing the importance of shared values beyond personal beliefs. The singer Diana Navarro was also in charge of closing the performances at the Bernabeu, interpreting Agustín Lara's classic chotis Madrid.
