'Drag Race España' sets a date for the premiere of its anticipated 'Meet the Queens' for the sixth edition on atresplayer

The countdown for the sixth edition of Drag Race España has already begun. Atresplayer has announced that the traditional Meet the Queens, where the new aspirants to the title of best drag superstar in the country will be revealed, will be available next September 6 at 8:00 PM. It will be the first contact with a cast that will take over from the five previous generations and will open a season marked by important novelties.

At the helm of the format will continue Supremme de Luxe, accompanied once again by Javier Calvo, Javier Ambrossi, and Ana Locking, who will repeat as jury members. Together they will be in charge of evaluating the new contestants, who must overcome the usual mini challenges, maxi challenges, and runway parades to avoid elimination and advance to the grand finale.

The new installment will arrive with unprecedented changes in the competition's mechanics and a prize of 50,000 euros for the winner. The aspirants will once again face acting, dancing, design, photography, music, and comedy challenges, in an edition that seeks to renew the competition without losing the essence that has made the format one of the platform's greatest successes.

The return of Drag Race España comes after a fifth edition that, according to Atresmedia, broke all franchise records. Both the season premiere and the special Meet the Queens reached their best historical data on atresplayer, consolidating the format as one of the television phenomena of the last year and one of the best-rated international adaptations of the franchise created by World of Wonder.

The platform also takes advantage of this announcement to highlight the good moment it is experiencing. Atresplayer closed the season with 24 million accumulated viewers and surpassed 760,000 subscribers for the first time, figures with which it reinforces its position as the leading Spanish platform.
