Emotion in Barcelona: the Escolanía de Montserrat and Sergio Dalma move during Pope Leo XIV's visit

Music has also been one of the main protagonists of the first day of Pope Leo XIV's visit to Barcelona, which culminated in a massive vigil yesterday, at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, where more than 40,000 faithful gathered.

The event, held in Montjuïc, combined moments of prayer, reflection, and musical performances in an atmosphere of great solemnity. One of the most notable moments came with the participation of the Escolania de Montserrat, which performed the traditional Virolai, filling the stadium with reverence.

Subsequently, singer Sergio Dalma joined the choir to perform Em dones força, a performance that was received with a unanimous ovation from the audience and became one of the most emotional moments of the day.

Other artists such as Conchita, Beret, Álvaro Soler, and Alfred García also participated in the event, in a musical program that sought to reflect the cultural diversity of the moment.

The vigil concluded with the performance of the hymn Alza la mirada, while the Pontiff thanked the attendees for their welcome. The stadium lit up with thousands of mobile phones, creating a symbolic image that marked the close of a historic day in the Catalan capital.
