The program Bad Tongues, broadcast on TVE and presented by Jesús Cintora, once again generated debate with the intervention of Esther Palomera, who put forward a critical reflection on the figure of the emeritus king and his social perception.

“As a Spaniard, it shames me that there are people who still applaud someone who used the Head of State to enrich himself obscenely and irregularly”, affirmed the journalist, also questioning his absence in Spain for tax reasons.“The emeritus king does not want to return to Spain because it would mean declaring that money in Spain”, affirmed the collaborator.

During his intervention, Palomera questioned the normalization of certain behaviors in public figures, highlighting presences and absences in those acts, underlining the importance of exemplary conduct in institutions and the need for greater transparency in matters affecting the citizenry as a whole.
