Esther Palomera denounces in 'Malas Lenguas' Feijóo's lack of transparency regarding the home in El Viso: "He has not updated his declaration of activities..."

In the program Malas Lenguas, Esther Palomera analyzed the political controversy that arose after the comment by the President of the Government in Congress, when he questioned the leader of the opposition about who pays for his home in El Viso, an intervention that, as she recalled, generated discomfort by feeling alluded to by the reference to the neighborhood in which he resides.

Palomera pointed out that, according to the information she handles, the popular leader “has not updated his declaration of activities, which he is obliged to present in the Congress of Deputies”, and recalled that it is an administrative obligation that, although it has no sanction, must be complied with periodically.

The journalist detailed that in that documentation his remunerations from the Popular Party would still appear, as well as his real estate assets —“three owned homes, two garages, a rustic property”— and other income linked to his institutional position, which, in her opinion, evidences the lack of data updating.

She also added that in that declaration “it also does not state that he is paying rent for a rental”, an element that, as she explained, is leading some journalists to continue investigating that line of information.

Finally, Palomera pointed out that, if there were nothing to hide, it would be expected that this information would be made public normally, comparing it with other previous cases in which, as she recalled, official explanations arrived with notable delay. “It only took a year and a half to explain what kind of income he received from the PP. Well, I imagine that now, instead of a year and a half, he will take twelve months to update that declaration of activities and give us the details of the payment for that home”, concluded the journalist, resorting to irony to underline the slowness of the opposition leader in offering explanations in similar situations in the past.
