Y ahora Sonsoles prepares its return to Antena 3 afternoons with new additions to its team. The program presented by Sonsoles Ónega will premiere its fifth season next Monday, August 31, and will do so with a significant signing for its social chronicle section: Gema López.
As revealed by El Televisero exclusively, the journalist will join the Antena 3 afternoon show, where she will share a team with regular collaborators such as Paloma García-Pelayo, Beatriz Cortázar, Isabel Rábago, Pilar Vidal, Nacho Gay, and José Manuel Parada, among others.
The signing will also allow Gema López to do a daily double on Antena 3, as she will continue to be linked to Espejo Público, the morning magazine presented by Susanna Griso. In this way, the journalist will maintain her presence on the channel's schedule and add a new window to address current events in the world of celebrity news.
With her arrival at Y ahora Sonsoles, Gema López will also return to Antena 3 afternoons, a time slot she already knows after having participated in programs such as Sabor a ti and Tal cual lo contamos. She also served as director of Vaya par and presented TC Express alongside Víctor Sandoval.
The incorporation of Gema López to Antena 3 afternoons will also mean her return to a time slot where she will coincide with some of her former colleagues from Sálvame. On Telecinco, this is already happening with the presence of Lydia Lozano, Terelu Campos, Rosa Benito, and José Antonio Canales Rivera, who are currently part of De lunes a viernes. In addition, in this new stage, she will once again coincide with Laura Matamoros, with whom she has already worked on Espejo Público.
‘Y ahora Sonsoles’ faces its fifth season
Sonsoles Ónega's program closed last season as the most-watched daily magazine on commercial television, with an average of 10.1% screen share and nearly 800,000 viewers.
The show also reached around 3.5 million unique viewers every afternoon and was a leader among audiences aged 35 to 44. With these figures, 'Y ahora Sonsoles' will face its fifth season with a new addition aimed at reinforcing its commitment to social chronicle.
