House of the Dragon has released its first official trailer for the third season, marking the start of the promotional campaign for what will be one of the most intense and war-like seasons yet. The preview, released by HBO Max, features scenes of the imminent civil war among the Targaryens, dragons in combat, and key moments of the conflict known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The trailer, which was released in February 2026, bears the slogan “From Fire Comes Darkness” and gives clear hints that this season will be even more epic and full of confrontations than the previous ones, with armies mobilized, winged dragons, and allies clashing for control of the Iron Throne.
Furthermore, the platform has confirmed that season 3 will premiere in June 2026, although the exact day has not yet been confirmed. It is expected to continue the intense story of the Targaryen dynasty, adapting crucial parts of George R. R. Martin's saga Fire & Blood.
Both the trailer and the release date announcement consolidate this season as one of the major television events of the year in the fantasy genre.
