The HBO Max platform has presented today ‘Infamia’, a new Spanish series of psychological thriller based on the eponymous novel by Ledicia Costas and starring Susana Abaitua, nominated for the Goya for Best Leading Actress for the crime drama Un fantasma en la batalla held this Saturday 28 in Barcelona, consolidating its commitment to the mystery genre with high-impact local productions.
The fiction, whose filming has already begun in locations in the Basque Country and Madrid, will have six episodes and mixes suspense with intense personal conflicts. In the story, Abaitua plays Emma Cruz, a lawyer obsessed with the unsolved disappearance of two girls twenty years ago, a case that connects with her own traumatic past and the death of her sister.
The cast of ‘Infamia’ also includes well-known names such as Jon Olivares, Ane Gabarain, Jorge Bosch, Iñigo Gastesi, Iñigo Azpitarte and Eva Llorach, among others, many of them with a career in recognized series. The production is being carried out by Evafilms, with a script by Manuel Gancedo and Eduardo Torallas, who already worked together on other successful adaptations.
The series is filmed in emblematic places such as the Parque Natural de Gorbeia, Urkiola and the Reserva de la Biosfera de Urdaibai, landscapes that will contribute to recreating the unsettling fictional town of the plot. The arrival of ‘Infamia’ on HBO Max is scheduled for this very 2026, promising a thriller full of mystery, tension and intense emotions that promise to leave the audience open-mouthed.
