It's official. Josep Pedrerol will continue at the helm of 'El chiringuito', but he will do so with a new television home. Mediaset España confirmed this Tuesday the signing of the sports journalist and the incorporation of the format into its content offering, starting a new stage for one of the most recognizable sports programs on Spanish television.

The long-term agreement also includes the arrival of the usual team of collaborators who have accompanied Pedrerol in recent years. The objective, as explained by the group, is to maintain the program's identity, based on football news, debate, and entertainment, although with a new stage that promises novelties.
After the operation became official, the presenter celebrated his arrival at Mediaset with a message of gratitude and excitement: "Mediaset doesn't sign Josep Pedrerol, it signs a great sports team. We arrive with more enthusiasm than ever and the new 'Chiringuito' will not leave anyone indifferent. Mediaset was my pending subject and it has given me an affection I didn't imagine. We are going to have fun." For his part, Jaime Guerra, director of the group's Content Production Division, highlighted that the incorporation represents "great added value" for the company and emphasized the relevance of the team led by Pedrerol.
The news comes after the program's farewell from Atresmedia, where it ended a trajectory of more than a decade. Although Mediaset has not yet revealed the premiere date or the channel on which it will be broadcast, the group ensures the incorporation of one of the sports debate formats with the greatest impact on Spanish television.
