Javier Ruiz warms up for the imminent arrival of La Séptima and challenges Ayuso to an interview: "Come on, we are waiting for you"

Javier Ruiz begins to give voice to La Séptima and, through the promotional video of the new channel, reveals some of the keys to a project that will start next November 5. The journalist begins by answering one of the most practical questions for future viewers: how to tune into the channel. "There's a tutorial, it will come, there will be instructions. It's not especially complicated," he explains, before asking for calm because the instructions will arrive in time for the premiere.

The date, in fact, has already been decided. "We start on November 5. I'll call roll one by one," says Ruiz. He also answers one of the questions that will presumably generate the most interest: how much La Séptima will cost Spaniards. "This is not the bank bailout. This will truly cost Spaniards zero euros," the journalist points out, adding a jab at the Government of the Community of Madrid: "This is not some people's Formula 1."

Constant information and a different space for football

Ruiz also explains what place information will occupy on the new channel. La Séptima will have "modern news programs," although its commitment is to maintain current affairs constantly and not concentrate it solely on a nightly edition. "We no longer force people to sit in front of a box at nine at night, but news programs as such, that concept is a concept of the past. We are the TV of the 21st century," he maintains. Football will also have its space: "I'm dying to see what we do, what La Séptima does differently."

In the political arena, Ruiz reveals who he would like to sit opposite him: Isabel Díaz Ayuso. "Come on, we're waiting for you," he says. The journalist assures that he wants to ask her "with respect," but also address issues that, according to his approach, have not been asked in other spaces. And when the question about the possible "gardens" La Séptima could get into comes up, he doesn't hesitate: "La Séptima is going to get into gardens from minute one." At that moment he mentions Alma Carrillo, Sara Sanz, and Héctor de Miguel and jokes that they have gathered great professionals, although they will also need "great lawyers."

The economy also appears in the conversation, although Ruiz acknowledges that he would like La Séptima to have space for business, but he has stated that  "now they don't let me yet". He is clearer when talking about Sarah, his partner, who will have her own program on the channel. "Sarah is hired for Sarah, not for being a partner", he defends, after explaining that other television channels had also tried to incorporate her. "And what have we done as a channel? Snatch an asset from other channels", he adds. Ruiz also confirms that there will be more signings: "Certainly. The team is never complete". And when the question comes of whether everything on La Séptima will be politics, Luján Argüelles takes over and cuts off the journalist: "Wait, Javier, I'll answer that one".
