Sastre will face this new stage accompanied by journalist Esther Bazán, who will be in charge of the first informative segment of the program, between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM, as part of a broader restructuring of the network's news programs.
This move is part of a series of changes at SER that have accelerated after the departure of Àngels Barceló from Hoy por hoy, where she concluded a period of more than two decades. Her farewell has triggered a chain of successions in the station's main time slots.
With this appointment, Sastre makes the definitive leap to the night slot after years as deputy director of the morning show, while the network redefines its schedule with the aim of strengthening its key news programs in a new stage.
