The actor Juan Echanove has once again spoken about his departure from Cuéntame cómo pasó, a series in which he played the character of Miguel Alcántara for 12 years, in an interview on the program La noche de Aimar on laSexta.
Echanove, one of the most recognizable faces of the fiction, recalled that his departure in 2017 was not easy and assured that he did not believe the plot reasons given to him to justify his exit. Asked directly by journalist Aimar Bretos if he accepted those explanations, the actor was emphatic: “No”.
The performer explained that, although he does not regret his time on the series and is grateful for the period lived, he believes that the management of his farewell was not done correctly. In this regard, he lamented that the decision was communicated suddenly, which he described as a difficult situation to accept after more than a decade in the production.
Despite the controversy, Echanove stressed that he decided not to enter into public conflict at the time and that he preferred to focus on his subsequent career, which he considers one of the most interesting of his career after leaving the series.
