The interview that Pedro Sánchez was scheduled to give to Gonzo on Salvados this Sunday, November 1, will finally not be broadcast. La Sexta has modified its programming after the train accident in Urda (Toledo), which has forced the channel and various political leaders to alter their plans. Instead, the program will offer an interview with Almudena Cid, as the channel has begun to announce on its social media.

The conversation with the President of the Government was to be recorded this Thursday, October 29, according to information published by El Periódico and reported by El Televisero. The meeting also had a symbolic component: Sánchez was going to return to the bar where he gave his first interview to Jordi Évole, after leaving his seat as a deputy and the general secretariat of the PSOE. However, the train accident has altered the planned agenda.

For the moment, the interview remains postponed without a new broadcast date. Asked about the future of the conversation, Atresmedia sources have indicated that, after what happened in Urda, "politicians are rescheduling their agendas" and that they cannot specify when it can be held, as it does not depend on the network. Thus, it remains uncertain when one of the contents that La Sexta had been promoting for days for its prime time slot can be recovered.

The first electoral debate on the channel is also postponed

It is not the only change that the accident has caused in the channel's programming. Atresmedia has also postponed the first electoral debate that La Sexta had planned to broadcast on Monday, November 2, focused on housing and economy and with representatives from PSOE, PP, Vox and Frente Amplio. The event has been moved to Monday, November 9, in a context in which current news continues to be marked by the consequences of the accident and the investigation into its causes.
