Mario Casas has begun filming of A puño descubierto, his second feature film as director, a project in which he also assumes the starring role alongside his brother, Óscar Casas. The production is already being filmed in Barcelona and will extend for just over six weeks, with locations also in different parts of Gran Canaria.

The film features a cast in which participate, among others, Tania Noriega, Migdalia H. and Javier Oliveras, and is written by Eduard Sola in collaboration with Mario Casas himself. The technical team includes names such as Edu Canet in photography, Núria Guardia in art direction, Javier Frutos in editing and Alba S. Torremocha in musical composition.

Nostromo Pictures produces the film alongside A puño descubierto AIE, with the participation of Movistar Plus+ and financing from the ICAA. Its premiere is scheduled exclusively in movie theaters in 2027, with distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures Spain.

The story follows two brothers, Luis and Daniel, immersed in the world of underground fights. While one tries to break free from that environment, the other remains trapped in it, which leads them to face extreme decisions. The film explores the relationship between them in a context of violence, emotional dependence, and the search for a way out, centered on the idea of inherited destiny and the possibility of escaping it.
