Movistar Plus+ has already set a date for one of its most anticipated bets of the year: A lot of people have to die will premiere next May 21, accompanied by the launch of its official trailer. The fiction adapts the eponymous novel by Victoria Martín, who also directs and participates in the script of the project, and has snuck into a fun promo in which the protagonists attend the book signing, amidst ironies about the discomfort of working with the writer, in the characteristic tone that will prevail in the fiction.

The series, of six episodes of 30 minutes, stars Anna Castillo, Macarena García and Laura Weissmahr, alongside the young Sofía Otero. The cast is completed by names such as Alba Galocha, Óscar de la Fuente, Ramón Rados and Yunez Chaib.
The story follows Bárbara, Maca, and Elena, three school friends who, two decades later, remain united… though not without tensions. Amidst frustrating jobs, unfulfilled dreams, and questionable decisions, adult life explodes when one of their personal crises turns everything upside down. The series opts for a generational comedy with an acidic tone, focused on the contradictions of one's thirties.
Also directed by Sandra Romero and Nacho Pardo, the fiction arrives after its passage through Canneseries and is part of the platform's original production strategy. With its mix of uncomfortable humor, complex relationships and contemporary portrait, A lot of people have to die aims to become one of the most commented titles of the season.
