Netflix activates the third and final season of 'Respira': the cast and new signings react to the script reading

Netflix has set in motion the conclusion of Respira. The platform has confirmed the start of filming of the third season, which will also be the last of the series created by Carlos Montero, thus closing one of its most recognizable Spanish fictions.

The new batch of episodes, set in the Joaquín Sorolla hospital of Valencia, will feature 8 episodes in which the main open plots will be resolved and the balance of power within the medical center will be redefined.

Among the most notable novelties is the incorporation of Belén Cuesta, who will play Judit Casat, the new hospital manager. Her arrival promises to completely alter the internal structure and strain the relationship with president Patricia Segura, played by Najwa Nimri.

The main cast remains with names such as Blanca Suárez, Manu Ríos, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Xoan Fórneas, Borja Luna and Pablo Alborán, to which new additions are added such as Asia Ortega, Carlos González, Albert Salazar or Nacho Fresneda.

The final season will also delve into the fight for medical leadership, the personal decisions of several characters, and the secrets that will come to light in an increasingly unstable environment.

With the direction of Carlos Ruano, Polo Menárguez and Marc Vigil, and the script team led by Montero himself, the series prepares for its definitive closure on Netflix, ending its run in Spanish hospital drama.
