Netflix has announced significant additions to the cast of The Altruists, its upcoming mini-series about the collapse of the cryptocurrency platform FTX. Among the new signings are Hudson Williams and Jennifer Grey, who join an international cast led by Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle.
The production, written by Graham Moore and directed in part by James Ponsoldt, will explore the real story of Sam Bankman‑Fried and his environment, with a look at the rise and collapse of the cryptocurrency that shook global markets. Hudson Williams will play the character of Duncan Rheingans‑Yoo, while Jennifer Grey will bring to life Sarah Fisher Ellison, expanding the representation of key characters in the high-profile drama.
The series, produced by Higher Ground and with executives like Barack and Michelle Obama among its producers, already featured additional names such as Matt Rife, Alex Lawther or Karan Soni, which makes The Altruists one of Netflix's most ambitious projects in 2026. The story aims to offer an incisive look at power, ambition, and consequences in the technological and financial world.
Hudson Williams, Jennifer Grey, Terry Chen, Elizabeth Adams, Hannah Galway, and William Mapother join the cast of THE ALTRUISTS.
