Netflix is developing a reboot of the movie 'My Life's Dream' (13 Going on 30), one of the most remembered titles of romantic comedy from the 2000s. The project will feature a new main cast, formed by Emily Bader and Logan Lerman, who will play the main characters in this new version.

Despite the cast change, the original actress Jennifer Garner will remain linked to the project as executive producer, which connects the reboot with the original film and brings symbolic continuity to the franchise.

The new adaptation will be directed by Brett Haley and written by Hannah Marks, with revisions by Flora Greeson. Although concrete plot details have not yet been revealed, it is known that the project is conceived as an independent reinterpretation, rather than a direct sequel, maintaining the essence of the original story but with an updated approach.

The original film, released in 2004, became a popular phenomenon thanks to its mix of comedy, romance, and fantasy, following the story of a teenager who wakes up in an adult's body. This reboot seeks to recapture that spirit for a new generation, in a context where streaming platforms continue to bet on relaunching classic stories with new interpretations.

With this announcement, Netflix reinforces its strategy of revitalizing iconic titles in the midst of an era of remakes, reboots and the return of titles that revive nostalgia, generating expectation among fans to see how a classic adapts to a contemporary audience.
