Netflix has already unveiled the main cast of its anticipated live-action series of Scooby-Doo, a modern reinterpretation that will opt for telling the origins of the iconic group.

The cast will be headed by Mckenna Grace, who will bring Daphne to life, as we had previously reported on 'ElConstitucional.es'. Alongside her, Tanner Hagen will play Shaggy, Maxwell Jenkins will be Fred and Abby Ryder Fortson will embody Velma.

The fiction, which will initially have eight episodes, will be set during a summer at a camp, where the protagonists will be involved in a supernatural mystery related to a Great Dane puppy, origin of the bond with Scooby. With a darker and more emotional tone than previous versions, the series will seek to renew the franchise and connect with new generations, maintaining the essence of the classic but with a more current approach.

For the moment, it has not been confirmed who will voice Scooby-Doo, one of the big questions of the project.
