Noor Ben Yessef and Rocío Delgado reveal their dream interviews in 'La Séptima', which also claims space for culture

La Séptima faces the final stretch before its premiere and two of its faces, Rocío Delgado and Noor Ben Yessef, are already naming some of the guests they would like to receive when the new channel starts. In a conversation about the project, both journalists have revealed their bets: Queen Letizia and Lamine Yamal.

In Rocío Delgado's case, the journalist remembered Queen Letizia when asked about possible interviewees. "Now Queen Letizia comes to mind, because I think she is a journalist woman who has never lost that curiosity, that natural gift she has for communication and it would be so interesting to know how she sees the world," she explained.

Noor Ben Yessef, for her part, set her sights on one of the great names in current football. "Now that so much hype is being given to what footballers do and don't do, as is happening right now with Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius, I would like Lamine Yamal to sit on the program," she stated.

The journalist also took the opportunity to explain what kind of debate she wants to promote in 'La Séptima'. "There will be a lot of discussion, but real discussion, because right now on television there are many discussions, but the basis of discussion, which is listening, is not respected," she defended.

The new channel is meanwhile finalizing its facilities in San Sebastián de los Reyes. Ben Yessef still maintains some mystery about the set: "I can't show you the facilities because we are creating magic and that is the key word. Our set will have magic."

Current affairs and human rights will also occupy a prominent space in its proposal. Ben Yessef assured that everyone will have to "get into big trouble," but placed one priority above the rest: "Above all, all together in denouncing the violation of human rights. What is happening in Gaza is a genocide and we will repeat it as many times as necessary."

Delgado, for her part, vindicated the role that culture will have within the new channel. "Culture, as I say, it is necessary to nourish the soul," she pointed out, before defending a space to talk about cinema and books and to listen to cultural voices that, she believes, "often do not have space on television."

There will also be space for feminism. “In La Séptima, all visions of the feminist struggle fit,” said Ben Yessef, who also wanted to dissociate the concept of progressivism from specific acronyms: “Being progressive, I believe, should not have a political color or acronyms.”

The date that marks the countdown is November 5. Delgado trusts that the project will progressively win over viewers: “This is an endurance race that starts on November 5, and hopefully we will generate that habit in viewers as soon as possible: Is something happening? I turn on La Séptima.”
