The latest gala of Supervivientes All Stars experienced one of its most tense moments when Omar Sánchez lost consciousness during the apnea challenge. The contestant from the Canary Islands had been underwater for more than three minutes when he began to make movements that raised alarms. When trying to return to the surface, he could not get out on his own and ended up fainting in front of the cameras.

"Please, get him out!": María Lamela's reaction

The situation provoked an immediate reaction in Honduras. María Lamela, the show's presenter from the island, shouted for her colleagues to get Omar out of the water, while several voices demanded the urgent presence of a doctor. The rest of the survivors went to help him and the organization intervened to attend to the contestant.

The tension also moved to the Madrid set, where Jorge Javier Vázquez followed what happened live. The presenter explained that the program had decided to remove the images to avoid prolonging the broadcast of such a delicate scene. "We are going to be very attentive to Omar. We have removed the images because there was no need to see them," he said, before sending a message of reassurance to his family.

Omar reappears and reassures his family

After a few minutes of uncertainty, María Lamela confirmed that the contestant was conscious and accompanied by the medical team. As the presenter explained, Omar had felt dizzy due to the effort and toughness of the challenge. Shortly after, the Canary Islander reappeared before the cameras to explain how he was feeling and to thank the team for their quick intervention.

"It has been a big scare", acknowledged Omar, who also thanked the professionals who attended him and his teammates for helping him get out of the water. In addition, he wanted to address his family directly to reassure them: he assured them that he was fine and that he wanted to continue giving his all in the contest.

The incident became the most delicate moment of a gala that was also marked by the expulsion of Damián Quintero, who lost his duel against Víctor Janeiro. Despite the scare experienced during the apnea, Omar's reappearance allowed the program to confirm that he was conscious and had received medical attention.
