The network Onda Cero starts 2026 with its best data of the last decade, according to the first wave of the General Media Study (EGM). The station reaches almost 2.4 million listeners, which represents a growth of 322,000 people (+15.7%) compared to the previous year, consolidating its upward trend within the Spanish radio landscape.
The great engine of this growth is once again Carlos Alsina, who continues breaking records with Más de uno, already surpassing 1.8 million followers after adding 272,000 new listeners in one year (+17.6%). The program thus strings together three consecutive years of increase, reinforcing its position as one of the key spaces in morning radio.
Also noteworthy is the strong momentum of The compass, directed by Rafa Latorre, which grows by 153,000 listeners (+38%)reaching 551,000. In the afternoons, Jaime Cantizano with Finally adds 116,000 new followers (+30%), surpassing half a million and consolidating its positive evolution.
The weekend also leaves notable data, with Julia Otero at the helm of Julia en la onda, which approaches one million listeners on Saturdays, reaffirming its weight in the programming. In sports, Radioestadio, with Edu García, gathers 426,000 listeners, while Radioestadio noche, with Rocío Martínez and Edu Pidal, reaches 217,000.
For her part, María Hernández debuts at the helm of Noticias mediodía with 200,000 daily listeners, while Europa FM celebrates its 30th anniversary as the fastest-growing music station, adding 169,000 new listeners up to 859,000. Its morning show, Cuerpos especiales, with Eva Soriano and Nacho García, reaches 521,000 followers, its best figure in two years.
In a very positive general context, radio is experiencing a historic moment: generalist radio reaches 14.4 million daily listeners and, in total, 24.7 million people listen to the radio every day, confirming the strength of the medium in Spain.
