Pablo Motos closes season and announces changes in 'El Hormiguero' for September: "I think you're going to..."

Pablo Motos put the finishing touch this Wednesday to the twentieth season of El Hormiguero with a message addressed to the audience in which he announced that the program will return in September with novelties. Without offering more details, the presenter wanted to generate expectation for the next television season.

"We return in September with some novelties that we cannot tell you about yet, but I think you will like them quite a lot," he said during the last minutes of the broadcast. Before saying goodbye, he also took the opportunity to wish viewers a good summer: "Happy summer to all, put on sun protection, take good care of yourselves."

With these words, Motos also cleared up the rumors that in recent weeks pointed to a possible departure from the Antena 3 program. Some information had speculated about a supposed disagreement between the presenter and Atresmedia that would have cast doubt on the continuity of the format on the channel, a possibility that is ruled out with the announcement of its return after the summer.

The season finale also comes with El Hormiguero once again consolidated as the most watched program on television, with a 14.5% audience share, an average of 1.8 million viewers and close to 4.2 million contacts per broadcast. The format thus adds 12 consecutive seasons as a leader, within a particularly positive year for Antena 3, which has also dominated audiences thanks to the performance of shows such as Pasapalabra, Tu cara me suena, La ruleta de la suerte and Antena 3 Noticias.
