Pedrerol's 'El Chiringuito' lands on Mediaset and holds a big surprise for its second night: Mourinho

The channel change has not changed the essence of El Chiringuito. Josep Pedrerol's program premiered its new stage on Mediaset this Monday after 13 years on Atresmedia and did so with a 5% audience share on Energy, becoming the most watched broadcast on the channel and exceeding its usual average. The show maintains its commitment to football talk, although it incorporates some changes in its staging and team.

The arrival on Energy is accompanied by a new set design, with a smaller set and a renewed image, but recognizable to followers of the format. The usual pundits once again took their positions alongside Pedrerol, while Paula Martínez debuted as the new "viewer's voice", one of the novelties of this new stage.

The first night also made it clear that the channel transfer does not alter one of the program's hallmarks: football debate and the news of the big clubs. Barça and Real Madrid once again occupied a good part of the talk, with special attention to Rodri's signing for the Barça team and the movements that can still occur in the market. Jota Jordi, furthermore, launched one of his usual exclusives by assuring that Julián Álvarez will play for Barcelona.

But the great attraction of this new stage already has a name of its own. Josep Pedrerol announced at the end of the premiere an exclusive interview with José Mourinho, current coach of Real Madrid, which will be broadcast this Tuesday on El Chiringuito. The conversation represents one of the program's first major moves after its arrival on Mediaset and comes just a few days after the Portuguese coach's return to the Madrid bench.

The interview will be broadcast in this Tuesday's edition, which will start at 00:00 on Energy, although it has not yet been specified at what point in the program Mourinho will appear. The announcement thus serves as the main draw for the second night of a new stage that starts with a 5% audience and with the aim of consolidating El Chiringuito as one of Mediaset's great sports bets.
