The fiction, which will premiere on Prime Video on March 4, 2026 in more than 240 countries and territories, follows the story of the young Sherlock Holmes before he was known as the iconic Baker Street detective. In this coming-of-age story, the character, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin, faces his first murder case, which leads him to discover an international conspiracy that will mark his life forever.
The advance shows a Holmes charismatic, rebellious and still developing, immersed in a vibrant and dangerous Victorian England as he begins to forge his deductive style. The story also introduces the young James Moriarty, played by Dónal Finn, as a key figure in the events that will define Sherlock's destiny.
The series features a large cast that includes Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons and Colin Firth, and is created and led by showrunner Matthew Parkhill, with Guy Ritchie directing at least the first two episodes.
Young Sherlock promises to offer a dynamic and action-packed approach to one of the most well-known characters in literature and entertainment, mixing mystery, intrigue, and the first steps of a detective destined to become a legend
