Prime Video sets a date for 'The House of the Spirits': the adaptation by Isabel Allende produced by Eva Longoria

Prime Video has announced the world premiere of The house of the spirits, the anticipated adaptation of the novel by Isabel Allende, which will arrive on the platform next April 29, 2026. The series will debut with three initial episodes, followed by weekly premieres until its scheduled finale for May 13

It is the first television adaptation in Spanish of the iconic literary work, considered a global phenomenon with millions of copies sold. The fiction will feature eight episodes and will narrate the story of the Trueba family throughout several generations, mixing drama, politics and magical realism

The project features Isabel Allende and Eva Longoria as executive producers, in an international venture that reinforces the rise of Spanish-language content in streaming, and features showrunners showrunners Francisca AlegríaFernanda Urrejola and Andrés Wood. Filmed in Chile and with an international cast, the series aims to become one of the big premieres of the year on Prime Video. 

The cast is headed by Alfonso Herrera, in one of his most ambitious projects, accompanied by Nicole Wallace and Dolores Fonzi. The production also brings together outstanding performers such as Fernanda CastilloAline Kuppenheim and Eduard Fernández. The cast is completed with Sara BeckerFernanda UrrejolaRochi Hernández and Juan Pablo Raba, configuring a choral and international bet that reinforces the series' potential as one of the big premieres of the year in streaming.

With this production, the platform takes another step in its global strategy, betting on Latin American stories with international vocation and consolidating its catalog with a new powerful adaptation.
