RTVE is in negotiations with ARTE to expand its collaboration agreement so that the public entity's new cultural channel can operate under the name ARTE España, according to its president, José Pablo López. The channel is expected to begin broadcasting in June through the main digital platforms and later on TDT, when the multiplexes are reorganizedDuring his speech, López explained that last week he had a meeting with the **director of the channel in France and vice president of ARTE**, valuing the collaboration to integrate RTVE as **"the Hispanic leg within the European project of ARTE"**.
The channel will offer a programming focused on performing arts, theater, Spanish cinema, classical music, and opera, as well as new musical ventures and original productions. López highlighted that his intention is for this cultural channel to be long-lasting and stable, consolidating a quality window for Spanish culture within the European framework.
