RTVE has officially presented the docuseries Benita, a new documentary format that will accompany its protagonist on the most important journey of her life, focused on her personal transition process and on the telling of her story in the first person, which will premiere in prime time on La 2 next Tuesday, March 31, International Transgender Day of Visibility.
The project, produced in collaboration with Zeppelin (Banijay Iberia), has been conceived as a docu-reality that will show in a close and honest way both the present and the past of the protagonist, including her childhood, her professional career and the vital changes she is experiencing.
Throughout the series, the cameras will closely follow her day-to-day, with the aim of offering an intimate portrait that allows the public to know not only the process itself, but also the person behind the television character who has been present for years on the small screen.

The project itself is born after the public announcement that the protagonist made on television about her decision to begin her transition, a moment that marked the beginning of a new personal stage and that now becomes the narrative axis of the docuseries.
With Benita, RTVE bets on a format centered on identity, authenticity, and vital experience, in a production that seeks to combine entertainment and personal testimony, offering a deeper look at a story of transformation that will unfold over several episodes.
