RTVE presented this Tuesday, October 27, Raphael Inphinito, an interactive digital experience that traces Raphael's musical career through his songs, albums, covers, and concerts. The initiative, developed by RTVE News Data, also on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Televisión Española, allows discovering the different stages of a career that spans over 65 years and connects several generations of viewers. The project transforms the artist's discography into a visual journey through his legacy, with data that allows observing how his music has evolved from the early sixties to the present day.

The compiled archive brings together 731 recordings corresponding to 642 different songs, distributed across 205 releases published in Spain. The inventory includes studio albums, compilations, singles, and other formats released throughout his career. Among the most striking data is the longevity of some of his greatest hits: Yo soy aquel appears in 38 different recordings between 1966 and 2023, a sample of how certain songs have accompanied the singer for decades. Alongside it, Digan lo que digan is among the songs he has revisited most often on his albums.

The experience also allows discovering Raphael's different musical facets and the evolution of his repertoire. The sixties and seventies concentrate an especially intense part of his production, with 78 albums published in that period, including singles, albums, and soundtracks. The journey also shows his relationship with the composer Manuel Alejandro, responsible for 187 songs in his repertoire, and the diversity of genres he has performed, from ballads and melodic songs to bolero, ranchera, and tango. The project also includes information about his international tours, the cities where he has performed, and the songs that have become essential in his concerts.

One of the most novel elements of Raphael Inphinito is the use of artificial intelligence to analyze the lyrics of his songs. The system allows studying the predominant emotions, themes, narrative voice, intensity, and musical genres, among other aspects. The results depict a repertoire marked by love and heartbreak, with sadness as one of its recurring motifs. The analysis also allows observing differences between styles: while tango is especially associated with sadness, bolero concentrates a good part of romantic songs. RTVE explains that automated analysis serves to discover patterns and relationships within the work, without replacing the consultation of sources or the interpretation of songs.

The project also reviews the international dimension of the singer, who has performed in dozens of countries and has interpreted songs in different languages, in addition to his role in the history of Spanish television. His relationship with TVE dates back to the sixties and is part of a career in which he has combined music, film, and television. Raphael Inphinito thus proposes a different way of approaching an artist who has managed to maintain his presence in popular culture for more than six decades, while making available to the public a compilation of data to explore his musical evolution from new perspectives.
