Pedro Sánchez returns to 'Salvados'. The President of the Government will sit opposite Gonzo next Sunday, November 1, in an interview that will revisit one of the most symbolic settings of his political career. The laSexta program has announced the broadcast date with a promotion that looks back a decade, to the meeting he had with Jordi Évole when he had just left the General Secretariat of the PSOE.

"Madrid, October 30, 2016," announces the preview released by the Atresmedia space, which recovers the image of the Madrid cafeteria where Sánchez and Évole conversed for the first time. "Ten years later he returns," adds the promotion, which places the current head of the Executive again in the place where he starred in one of the most remembered interviews of that political stage.

Jordi Évole himself has highlighted the symbolism of the reunion on his social networks. "Pedro returns to the bar where his first comeback started," the journalist wrote, referring to the process that led Sánchez to regain socialist leadership after his departure from the party's leadership.

Pedro Sánchez's third visit to Salvados

The interview with Gonzo will be Pedro Sánchez's third visit to Salvados. The first took place in 2016, when he was still the former general secretary of the PSOE; the second, in 2023, already as president of the Government. Now he returns to the Producciones del Barrio format in the midst of the electoral pre-campaign and with a new appointment at the polls on the horizon.

According to the program's announcement, the conversation will address current political affairs and allow the president to reflect on his career and his time at the head of the Executive. The interview also comes after his recent appearance on La Revuelta, where he conversed with David Broncano and was surprised by Candela Peña.

A new stop in Sánchez's televised pre-campaign

The visit to Gonzo thus adds to the president's television agenda, who is taking advantage of different spaces to talk about his political project and the country's situation. The return to the Madrid cafeteria adds a retrospective component to the interview: ten years after that conversation with Évole, Sánchez returns to the scene of a decisive stage of his career.

The appointment can be seen on Sunday, November 1, on laSexta, in a new installment of Salvados that recovers the place where that first political comeback began and that once again places the president of the Government before the program's questions.
