Silvia Intxaurrondo and Míriam Nogueras raise tension live over housing decree: "I'll settle for you answering something"

The interview that Míriam Nogueras had scheduled for this Tuesday on 'La Hora de La 1' ended up becoming one of the most tense moments of the television morning. The spokesperson for Junts in Congress and the presenter Silvia Intxaurrondo maintained an exchange of reproaches regarding the negotiations on the housing decree that the Government is preparing.

The conversation began with a specific question from Intxaurrondo: what separated Junts from the Executive at that moment to be able to support the decree. Nogueras responded by outlining her party's proposals on housing, including different bonuses for families, fiscal measures, and a reduction in VAT linked to construction and housing purchases.

The Junts spokesperson also defended the need to protect small property owners and explained that her party had previously conveyed its proposals. However, the answer strayed from the initial question, and the journalist decided to intervene to try to pinpoint the reason for the disagreement. "Excuse me, Ms. Nogueras, it's not clear to me what separates you from the Government," Intxaurrondo stated.

It was then that Intxaurrondo responded: "You won't be saying the 15-second headlines thing about me, because you've been talking non-stop for more than three minutes in each answer." The journalist insisted that her intention was not to limit the spokesperson's time, but to get a concrete answer to the question posed. Nogueras, for her part, maintained that she was trying to explain the context of Junts' position and even pointed out that the presenter had interrupted her during the interview.

The disagreement over the "small landlord"

The most tense moment came when Intxaurrondo posed a final question: "What do you consider a small landlord?" The question sought to define one of the central concepts of the position defended by Nogueras during the interview.

The Junts spokesperson again referred to her party's proposals and the situation of landlords versus large holders and investment funds. Intxaurrondo insisted that she was looking for a precise answer and recalled that she had read the document the politician was referring to.

The exchange ended without either finding a point of agreement on the focus of the interview. Nogueras defended that not answering exactly what the journalist expected did not mean she was avoiding answering. "That I don't answer what you want me to answer doesn't mean I'm not answering," she said before saying goodbye. Intxaurrondo closed the conversation with a final sentence: "I'll settle for you answering something, Mrs. Nogueras."
