Streaming platforms dominate the 2026 Emmy Awards: where to watch all the nominated series

'The Pitt' starts as the big favorite of the edition, while HBO Max leads the ranking of nominations by platforms, followed by Netflix and Apple TV+

The race for the 2026 Emmy Awards is already underway. The Television Academy of the United States has unveiled the list of nominees, with a selection that confirms the dominance of streaming platforms and positions The Pitt as the series with the most nominations this edition. From dramas and comedies to miniseries, these are the productions that will compete for the awards and where they can be watched in Spain.

In the category of Outstanding Drama Series are The Diplomat (Netflix), The Gilded Age (HBO Max), A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (HBO Max), Paradise (Disney+), The Pitt (HBO Max), Pluribus (Apple TV+), Slow Horses (Apple TV+) and Hidden Vices (Apple TV+).

Meanwhile, the contenders for Outstanding Comedy Series are Abbott Elementary (Disney+), The Bear (Disney+), Hacks (HBO Max), Margo's Got Money Problems (Apple TV+), Nobody Wants This (Netflix), Only Murders in the Building (Disney+), Shrinking (Apple TV+) and The Curse of Widow's Bay (Apple TV+).

In the section for Outstanding Limited Series, the competitors will be Your Worst Nightmare (Movistar Plus+ and SkyShowtime), The Beast In Me (Netflix), Beef (Netflix), DTF: St. Louis (HBO Max) and Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette (Disney+). Additionally, the Emmys have also recognized performances such as those of Noah Wyle (The Pitt), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Keri Russell (The Diplomat), Rhea Seehorn (Pluribus), Jean Smart (Hacks) or Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), among others.

The big winner of the nominations has been HBO Max, which accumulated 122 nominations, ahead of Netflix (111) and Apple TV+ (87), which achieved its best historical result. The dominance of these platforms confirms the intense competition to lead international television fiction and consolidates the Emmys as the great showcase for discovering the most outstanding series of the year.

The 78th edition of the Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. The gala will be broadcast by NBC and will also be available on Peacock in the United States.
