The 'Benidorm Fest 2027' reveals its 18 participants today: time and where to watch the press conference

 The Benidorm Fest 2027 is finalizing preparations for one of the most anticipated moments of its sixth edition. RTVE will announce this Wednesday, October 14 the names of the 18 artists who will compete in the festival, in a press conference that will be held starting at 5:00 PM in Studio 5 of Prado del Rey, in Madrid.

The presentation can be followed live and for free through RTVE Play, where viewers will learn the identity of the participants who will seek to win the Golden Sirenita in the next edition of the music contest.

Control Central will offer a special preview

The special programming will start one hour before the official announcement. Starting at 4:00 PM, Ángela Fernández and David Andújar will host an edition of Control Central, the space of En Play, which will connect with the presentation venue to show the latest preparations and bring viewers the atmosphere prior to the press conference.

Journalist Daniel Borrego, RTVE Play's special envoy in previous editions of the festival, will be live from Studio 5 to report on the news before the final lineup is made public.

Nearly 900 songs to choose participants

The selection of artists comes after a registration process in which RTVE received nearly 900 songs during the 115 days that the deadline remained open. Around 350 proposals were submitted during the last 24 hours of the call. The new edition will maintain the number of participants from the fifth installment, in which Tony Grox and LUCYCALYS won with T AMARÉ. Both artists will be in charge of handing over the Golden Sirenita to their successors.

The Benidorm Fest 2027 will be held from January 23 to 30 at the Palacio de los Deportes L'Illa de Benidorm. The songs of the participants are scheduled for publication next December 17, the date on which the public will be able to start discovering the musical proposals of the sixth edition.

This Wednesday's presentation will therefore allow us to know the first major advance of an edition that will once again place Benidorm at the center of Spanish musical news.
