The San Fermín festivities began this Monday with a new audience success for RTVE. The broadcast of the traditional Chupinazo, aired on La 1, became the preferred option for viewers during the morning.
The broadcast registered a 24.3% screen share and an average of 742,000 viewers, clearly leading its time slot.
Interest in the start of the festivities was even greater if accumulated audience data is taken into account, as more than 1.6 million people followed the broadcast from Pamplona at some point.
Once again, RTVE consolidates the Chupinazo as one of the great television events of the summer, maintaining leadership of one of the most traditional events on the Spanish festive calendar.
