The biopic about Rocío Jurado has begun filming in Chipiona, the town in Cadiz that saw the birth of ‘La más grande’ and which now becomes the main setting for the series that will reconstruct her life and artistic career. The production, consisting of four episodes, coincides with the 20th anniversary of her death and will cover both her musical career and her personal and family life.

From early hours, the streets and promenade of the town have registered a notable presence of curious onlookers and residents who wanted to approach the recording set to witness the first scenes. The summer atmosphere of Chipiona has mixed with the technical deployment of the filming, which has begun with several outdoor sequences.

One of the elements that has attracted the most attention in this start of production is the characterization of the actress who plays Rocío Jurado in her adult stage. Her resemblance to the artist has generated numerous comments among those present, especially in the scenes filmed in emblematic spaces such as the surroundings of the sanctuary of the Virgen de Regla.

The series, produced by Boomerang TV, will feature a narrative journey through the different stages of the singer's life, from her childhood and her first steps in music to her consecration as one of the most important voices in recent Spanish history. Her personal relationships will also be addressed, including her marriage to Pedro Carrasco and José Ortega Cano, as well as her role as a mother.

In the acting section, it has been confirmed that three actresses will bring Rocío Jurado to life in her different stages: Carmen Raigón and Marta Hoyos in her youth, and Susana Córdoba in her adult stage. In addition, one of the already confirmed cast names is Martiño Rivas, who will play Pedro Carrasco, the artist's first husband.

The filming has garnered special attention in one of the most emotional recreations, in which a visit by Rocío Jurado to the sanctuary of the Virgen de Regla alongside Ortega Cano after making public her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is depicted. For the scene, the actress appears characterized with one of the singer's most recognizable styles, reinforcing the realistic approach of the production.

With this start of recordings in her hometown, the series takes its first step with the intention of reconstructing the figure of Rocío Jurado from an intimate and emotional perspective, in a production that has already generated great anticipation among both followers of the artist and the audiovisual industry.
