The collaborator Sarah Santaolalla starred in a moment that would soon go viral on the program Malas Lenguas Noche, presented by Jesús Cintora, after the live broadcast of a message sent by a far-right activist who questioned her public interventions and her way of referring to certain ideological sectors.
In the message, the sender criticized Santaolalla for using terms like "Francoists" or "Nazis" to refer to people with whom she disagrees, and reproached her for her statements about the Valley of Cuelgamuros. She also stated that her words generate social rejection and even questioned her presence on television.
Before responding to the content of the message, Santaolalla ironically commented live on the situation with the following phrase: "Can't you bring my mother? It would be better than enduring this message. I say this because since we're putting messages, at least let them be of love." To which Cintora responded by inviting her whenever she wished.
Asked by Jesús Cintora about what response she would give to the sender, the collaborator defended her positions and maintained that she considers it legitimate to use terms such as "Francoists" or "fascists" to refer to those who, in her opinion, shelter or justify such ideologies. In that sense, she stated that her way of expressing herself responds to a political interpretation of certain facts and behaviors.
During her intervention, Santaolalla also criticized various figures linked to the media far-right and assured that she has chosen not to give further scope to certain controversies. In that vein, she pointed out: "I reaffirm that I am not going to give peanuts to so many far-right monkeys," emphasizing that many of these controversies, in her opinion, contribute to amplifying certain profiles that she does not wish to continue feeding.
The collaborator also responded to the personal disqualifications included in the received message, resorting to an ironic tone to reduce their impact. Likewise, she reiterated her stance on the use of certain political qualifiers and rejected the accusations directed at her person, maintaining her line of argument throughout the intervention.
The exchange continued when the program broadcast a second message in which the activist insisted on her criticism and accused Santaolalla of harming Spain. Faced with this, the collaborator reacted with surprise and irony, asking: “What are you telling me? That I harm Spain? That I will not accept”, thus closing one of the most commented moments of the broadcast.
