The mass of Pope Leo XIV in Cibeles boosts La 1's ratings during Sunday morning

The special coverage of the mass presided over by Pope Leo XIV in Cibeles square became one of the most watched broadcasts of Saturday's television morning.

The broadcast, aired between 09:00 and 12:23 on La 1, reached a 21.2% audience share and an average of 732,000 viewers, in addition to gathering more than 2.5 million unique viewers.

After the broadcast of the mass in Cibeles, La 1 continued with the special coverage of Leo XIV's visit to Madrid. The broadcast, which lasted between 12:23 and 13:02, achieved a 16.6% audience share and an average of 744,000 viewers, maintaining the follow-up of the events planned for the day.

In addition, the following broadcast managed to gather more than 1.4 million unique viewers, extending the interest generated by the pontiff's agenda in the capital.

The interest in the pontiff's visit to Spain was once again reflected in data that placed RTVE among the audience's preferred options during the morning slot.
