July arrives loaded with great premieres for movie theaters and streaming platforms. The month will be marked by the return of some of the most popular franchises of the moment, several Spanish comedies, and one of the most anticipated titles of the year: The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan's new blockbuster. Added to this are family proposals, thrillers, horror, and auteur cinema that complete a billboard designed for all audiences.

The first premieres of the month

The month kicked off this July 1st with several notable new releases. The little ones can now enjoy Minions & Monsters, while Netflix has already premiered 'Enola Holmes 3', with Millie Bobby Brown reprising the role of Sherlock Holmes' sister. Also since yesterday, you can enjoy in cinemas 'Normal', the new action comedy starring Bob Odenkirk.

Starting tomorrow, July 3rd, it will be the turn of The Death of Robin Hood, with Hugh Jackman leading the cast, as well as Magallanes, directed by Lav Díaz and starring Gael García Bernal. That same Friday, Filmin will also premiere MegaDoc, a documentary focused on the troubled filming of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis.

From the return of Moana to Spanish comedies

The billboard will continue to be renewed on July 8th with the arrival of the live-action version of Moana, one of the big family releases of the summer, as well as the drama The Currents.

On July 10th, Spanish cinema will take center stage with Making Friends, starring Antonio Resines and Quim Gutiérrez, a new comedy that mixes humor and unexpected situations in a camp for people with disabilities.

Christopher Nolan stars in the big summer premiere

The date marked in red by many film fans will be July 17th, when The Odyssey arrives in theaters. Christopher Nolan adapts Homer's classic in an ambitious blockbuster starring Matt Damon and accompanied by an all-star cast including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, and Jon Bernthal.

That same day, Evil Dead: In Flames, a new installment of the veteran horror saga, will also land.

Last week with Spanish cinema, Netflix, and Marvel

The final stretch of the month will begin on July 24 with several premieres. Willem Dafoe will star in The Host, while Spanish cinema will add Tres de más, starring Kira Miró and Salva Reina, and the French comedy The American Dream. In addition, Netflix will incorporate the thriller The Believers, with José Coronado, into its catalog.

Finally, on July 29 one of the great commercial phenomena of the summer will arrive with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Tom Holland will once again don the superhero suit in a new installment that will also feature Zendaya and Jon Bernthal.

The month will say goodbye on July 31 with Mother Mary, the new work by director David Lowery starring Anne Hathaway.

With consolidated franchises, big blockbusters, Spanish cinema, and premieres for all audiences, July promises to become one of the most powerful months of the year in movie theaters and on streaming platforms.
