The Seventh defines its television bet before its premiere: Sarah Santaolalla's program already has a title and time slot

The new DTT channel, promoted by José Miguel Contreras, will premiere its programming on November 5 with an already defined schedule, which includes, in principle, a commitment to Saturday cinema without commercial breaks

La Séptima already has the offer designed with which it wants to make a place for itself on free-to-air television. The channel, which will begin broadcasting next November 5, has finished outlining a program in which current affairs will have a central weight, but which will also reserve space for entertainment and a cinematographic proposal with a particularity: Saturday films will be broadcast without commercial breaks.

Among the novelties is the title of the space that Sarah Santaolalla will present. The journalist will host En línea... con Sarah Santaolalla, an afternoon program that joins a grid with names from different areas of television and a structure that will cover from the early hours of the morning until prime time.

Javier Ruiz will close the day and Verónica Sanz will open the programming

Information will set the pace from Monday to Friday. Verónica Sanz will be in charge of El Pulso, the morning show, while Rocío Delgado and Noor Ben Yessef will occupy the afternoons with Sobre la mesa and La Diana, respectively. The last word of the day will correspond to Javier Ruiz, who will host La última hora during prime time.

The programming premieres in the final countdown to the general elections on November 29, a scenario that has conditioned the channel's initial plans. The distribution of spaces could undergo changes once the election is over, especially in a time slot as disputed as prime time.

This is how the weekend programming looks

The Saturday and Sunday proposal will have other references. Luján Argüelles will present Fin de semana in the mornings and Héctor de Miguel will be in charge of La comedia nacional in the afternoon. In the evening, Fuera de control will arrive, with Alba Carrillo and Marta Márquez.

The great particularity of Saturday night will be in the cinema. La Séptima prepares a space where films will be screened without commercial breaks and whose presentation will change every week: different faces of the channel will be in charge of introducing the titles according to their theme. The formula is reminiscent of La clave, the program that José Luis Balbín turned into a reference point for Spanish television by combining a film with a subsequent debate. The new proposal recovers that connection between cinema and conversation, although details about its operation still need to be finalized.

In addition, La Séptima could find its place on Movistar Plus from its launch on November 5. The platform has incorporated four high-definition signals into its test dial—MTV España HD, Cubavisión HD, TV Chile HD, and Test 1 HD—although none have yet been activated as a regular channel. This last one has sparked speculation due to its possible relationship with José Miguel Contreras's new channel, which has also confirmed its arrival on Orange TV and Vodafone TV. However, for now there is no official confirmation that Test 1 HD corresponds to La Séptima.

With the premiere scheduled for November 5, La Séptima is thus finalizing a program that seeks to distinguish itself on DTT through daily news, a recognizable staff, and a commitment to uninterrupted cinema.
