The highly anticipated Dune: Part Three has already shown its first preview and has left one of the big surprises: the incorporation of Robert Pattinson as the new villain of the saga. The actor will give life to Scytale, an enigmatic and dangerous character who aims to become key in the trilogy's outcome.
The trailer confirms that this third installment will be the darkest to date, with a time jump of several years and a much more focused approach on war, power, and the consequences of Paul Atreides' rise, played by Timothée Chalamet. The story is inspired by Dune Messiah and shows a growing conflict against his empire, with great battles and political tensions.
In addition to Pattinson's debut, key faces return such as Zendaya, Javier Bardem or Florence Pugh, while new characters expand the universe. The film, directed by Denis Villeneuve, will arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026 and promises to close the trilogy with a more intense, complex, and twist-filled story.
