The Spanish film 'Sirat', directed by Oliver Laxe, has been nominated for two awards at the 2026 Oscars: Best International Feature Film and Best Sound, within the 98th edition of the awards presented by the Hollywood Academy. The nominations were announced this Thursday at a ceremony from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills (California) where actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman read out all the nominations.
In the category of **Best International Feature Film**, *Sirat* will compete with other titles from various film industries, such as 'A Simple Accident' (Iran), 'Sentimental Value' (Norway), 'Hind's Voice' (Tunisia), and 'The Secret Agent' (Brazil).
The Oscar awards ceremony will be held on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and will be hosted for the second consecutive year by American comedian and television presenter Conan O’Brien.
