The Goya Awards gala once again demonstrated its television appeal. A total of 2,396,000 viewers followed the ceremony this Saturday on La 1 of TVE, which translates into a 26% audience share. This is the best figure since 2020 and makes this edition the most watched in the last three years.
According to the report by Barlovento Comunicación, more than 5.1 million people connected at some point with the broadcast, a figure that is equivalent to 10.9% of the Spanish population.
The ceremony, hosted by actor Luis Tosar and singer Rigoberta Bandini, performed especially well among the female audience, where it reached a 27.8% share. By age groups, it stood out among young people aged 13 to 24, with 37%, and among adults aged 25 to 44, with 32.2%.
By autonomous communities, la Comunidad Valenciana led the monitoring with a 35.9% share, followed by Murcia (34.1%), la Comunidad de Madrid (32.4%) and Cataluña (31.4%).
From RTVE they also highlight that the gala surpassed the next option of the night by 18.5 points. The so-called “golden minute” occurred at 23:01 hours, when 2,808,000 viewers were watching the broadcast.
In the digital environment, the live broadcast through RTVE Play gathered 305,264 users. The special ‘La noche de los Goya’ added 79,908 viewers, 43% more than the previous year and 60% more than in 2024. The live broadcast from the backstage, with Inés Hernand, Nuria Marín and Marina Rivers, reached 43,382 users, its best record in recent years, with a growth of 63% compared to the previous edition.
For its part, the red carpet pre-special gathered an average of 1,048,000 viewers and signed a 12.1% share, the best figure since 2021. In total, more than 3.5 million people connected at some point with this prelude to the gala.
