The silent war of television: Atresmedia sweeps in digital and widens its distance with Mediaset

The battle for audiences is no longer fought solely in front of the television. The major Spanish audiovisual groups maintain an increasingly intense competition in the digital arena, where websites, platforms, and online content have become a key piece for measuring the real consumption of viewers. According to the latest Comscore data, Atresmedia once again led the digital ranking in April with 19.6 million unique users.

The difference with respect to Mediaset España is especially significant. The group owner of Telecinco and Cuatro registered 10.2 million unique visitors, placing itself even behind RTVE, which reached 11.4 million. In this way, Atresmedia consolidates an advantage of more than 93% over its main private competitor in the online environment.

In the ranking by channels, 'laSexta.com' became the great digital dominator of the month by reaching 6.2 million unique users. The channel widely surpassed Cuatro, which remained at barely 800,000 visitors, thus marking the largest distance between both since the end of 2025. Antena 3 also managed to prevail over Telecinco, although with a much tighter difference.

Atresmedia's digital strategy is also supported by the growth of Atresplayer, which closed April with 2.1 million unique visitors thanks to its commitment to national production and exclusive premieres. Added to this are the good results of 'Onda Cero' and 'Europa FM' in the online environment, driven by their radio programs, podcasts, and digital content.
