The discourse maintained by the promoters of the website 'La Bandera' is clear and repeated to satiety: they classify themselves as a "free media", "without subsidies" and they confront what they call the "regime press". However, the documentation to which ElConstitucional.es has had exclusive access reveals that the website ‘La Bandera’, directed by the ultra David Santos in collaboration with the far-right influencer Infovlogger, requested and -according to a report to which this newspaper had access on 02/20/2026- obtained in 2025 public aid of 3,000 euros from the Kit Digital program.
The subsidy was granted by Red.es, an agency dependent on the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, a ministerial portfolio of the Government chaired by Pedro Sánchez, whom both Santos and his circle recurrently attack from positions openly aligned with Vox.
The company behind ‘The Flag’
According to the “Legal Notice” of the portal itself, the publishing company is Resistencia Digital SL, with CIF B44816478, registered in the Mercantile Registry of Madrid (Volume 44854, Folio 109, Section 8, Sheet M789666, Registration 2; Year Pre: 2023). And the sole administrator currently listed in the company is the lawyer David Díaz Muñoz.
The requested aid is part of the “Resolution of the public business entity Red.es, M.P. by which the aid aimed at the digitalization of companies in Segment III (between 0 and less than 3 employees) is convened”, within the Kit Digital program. In the report consulted by this medium, the status of the application is listed as “subsidy granted” for an amount of 3,000.00 euros.
From "without subsidies" to requesting aid promoted by the Government of Pedro Sánchez
The granting of this aid contrasts with the discourse publicly maintained by David Santos. On October 8, 2022, as one example among many, Santos himself published a message on his personal X account in which he attacked other media in these terms:

The central axis of his narrative -and that of Infovlogger and his circle- has been precisely the denunciation of public aid to media outlets, to which they associate with supposed editorial dependence and loss of independence. In multiple interventions, they have pointed to newspapers critical of right-wing politics as being “bought” by the Executive.
However, the request and granting of public aid managed by a ministry of the Government which they accuse of political illegitimacy exposes the double standard of the far-right 'influencers' David Santos and Infovlogger.
