The serious fire in Niebla in Huelva, which completes one week this Friday, has already reached 31,000 hectares and maintains the emergency device in Operational Situation 2, with a total of 658 people evacuated from the affected territories. In this context, the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, will travel to the Command Post at approximately 10:30 in the morning.

The forest fire that started a week ago in Niebla (Huelva) shows a more favorable evolution after the extinction teams have managed to significantly reduce fire activity in the northern sector. The progress of the work has allowed 60 evacuated people to return to their homes.

The return affects residents of El Cabezuelo, Raboconejo, La Florida and Las Arenas, as reported by the Minister of Presidency, Health and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, from the Advanced Command Post. Despite this improvement, the device maintains vigilance in view of the worsening weather conditions expected for this afternoon, especially due to the influence of the wind.

The minister highlighted that the action during last night allowed progress to be made on one of the main objectives of the operation: to prevent the fire from gaining ground to the north and approaching the municipalities located in that area.
