The judicial order that keeps open the investigation into the death of the founder of Mango, Isak Andic, gathers a set of clues collected by the Mossos d’Esquadra that affect his son, Jonathan Andic, who remains free on bail after paying one million euros. The resolution, of a provisional nature within an ongoing investigation, does not establish definitive conclusions, but it does detail a series of elements that the police investigation considers relevant to support the hypothesis of a possible homicide.

The judge incorporates into the order the work developed for more than a year and a half by the Catalan police, who have analyzed both the reconstruction of the route in Montserrat and the communications of the family environment and the movements prior to the businessman's death. Jonathan Andic's defense categorically rejects these conclusions and maintains that the case is based on inferences without direct evidentiary support, insisting that the procedure will end up ruling out any criminal responsibility.

One of the most relevant points included in the investigation is the presence of the investigated person in the Montserrat area on several occasions during the days prior to the excursion in which the fatal fall occurred. According to the Mossos, Jonathan Andic would have gone to the vicinity of the massif on more than one occasion in the same week of the death, a fact that the investigation interprets as potentially significant within the framework of a possible planning. The defense, however, maintains that these movements are not related to the facts and that they are being interpreted in a biased manner.

The order also dedicates attention to the analysis of the investigated person's mobile phone. According to the investigation, Jonathan Andic changed devices in 2025, replacing his old terminal with a more recent model, and the previous one would have disappeared under not completely clarified circumstances. The Mossos emphasize the temporal coincidence between that phone change and key moments in the reopening of the judicial investigation, which has led to a special focus on the possible existence of relevant information on the original device. For the moment, there is no definitive conclusion regarding its content or its disappearance.

Another of the elements included in the order are the different versions offered by the investigated party about what happened on the day of the fall. Jonathan Andic explained in his first statements to emergency services a version that he later qualified before the Mossos, with variations in the position he occupied during the walk, the exact moment he lost sight of his father, and the way the fall occurred. The investigation considers these divergences as one of the elements that form part of the set of clues under study, although the defense argues that these are differences explainable by the impact of the moment and the passage of time.

The analysis of the terrain where the accident occurred also occupies a relevant place in the investigation. The expert reports included in the case describe the area as a mountain section without special technical complexity, although with a pronounced slope at the specific point of the fall. The Mossos have examined the mechanics of the accident, the marks on the terrain, and the trajectory of the body, elements that form part of the forensic reconstruction of the event. The autopsy and forensic reports continue to be subject to interpretation within the investigation.

Beyond the purely technical aspects, the judicial order introduces a section focused on the family relationship between father and son. The investigation has analyzed messages, testimonies, and documentation seized during the proceedings, and maintains that in the months prior to the businessman's death, there would have been economic and succession-related tensions. According to the police account incorporated by the judge, these tensions would be linked to discrepancies over the future of the family assets and the company's structure.

In that context, the order also mentions Isak Andic's estate planning process before his death, including the creation of a foundation with philanthropic purposes, which, according to the investigation, would have generated differences within the family nucleus. The defense rejects this approach and maintains that family relationships were not deteriorated in the way described by the investigation, insisting that the interpretations of messages and testimonies are out of context.

The case remains open and in the investigation phase, without there being a judicial resolution on the merits of the matter. The magistracy maintains the investigation under the classification of alleged homicide while forensic evidence, electronic devices, and collected testimonies continue to be analyzed. Both the defense and the family of Jonathan Andic insist on the presumption of innocence and that the judicial process has not yet determined any criminal responsibility.
