For several days, it has been circulating on social media that on August 15, another massive entry of people from Morocco to Ceuta will take place. In this context, the National Intelligence Center (CNI) has given full reliability to the information, so the Ministry of Defense has ordered the cancellation of vacations for military personnel in the autonomous city.

According to what 'Cadena SER' has learned, the General Command of Ceuta has issued instructions, through a communiqué with the subject 'Cancellation of Permits', to all its personnel to remain available, without exception, given the possibility of a new attempt to enter Ceuta.

The document, to which the aforementioned media outlet has had access, is addressed to the heads of the different military units deployed in Ceuta, including the Logistics Unit, the Headquarters Battalion of the Ceuta Command, the Ceuta Regulars Group 54, the Montesa 3 Cavalry Regiment, the Engineers Regiment, and the Artillery Regiment 30, as well as to the personnel of the COMGECEU (General Command of Ceuta) health services.

The internal communication establishes the suspension, with immediate effect and until further notice, of leave permits for military personnel deployed in Ceuta. The only exception contemplates “exceptional cases, duly justified.”

The decision is justified, according to the document, by the "needs of the service that require increasing the activities of the units deployed in Ceuta", in a context marked by the "migratory crisis" that Spain has been experiencing since July 30. On that day, there was a massive entry of more than 72,000 people, according to figures handled by the Ministry of Interior.
