The PP of Isabel Díaz Ayuso continues to question the credibility of the former councilwoman from Móstoles who reported workplace and sexual harassment by the town's mayor, Manuel Bautista (PP), and now links the appearance of these accusations with the statement of former Moncloa advisor Francisco Salazar in the Senate. In this regard, the spokesperson for the Government of the Community of Madrid, Miguel Ángel García Martín, assured this Saturday that the Popular Party carried out “the investigation that was opportune” and that “no situation was detected that justified” the complaint filed by the former councilor.According to García Martín, the publication of these accusations was not casual. In his opinion, they occurred in the context of Salazar's appearance in the Upper Chamber, where he had to answer for different cases of alleged sexual abuse that occurred in the Moncloa Palace. "I am convinced that this arises precisely at that moment," he stated to the media from Buitrago de Lozoya.

The information came to light last Thursday, coinciding with Salazar's statement, and was denied by the mayor of Móstoles. A day later, the former councilwoman announced her intention to formally sue Bautista, while the PP of Madrid communicated that it was studying legal action, considering that the accusation had been made in "bad faith", with "fabricated evidence" and as part of a "personal vendetta" against the mayor. Bautista, for his part, declared himself the victim of "political blackmail".

For the spokesman of the Madrid Executive, these facts respond to a strategy of the left to "squid ink" and divert attention from the "cases of alleged abuses" that, he said, affect the Government, the socialist party and the environment of President Pedro Sánchez
