The former Government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín, has published this Tuesday on his personal X social media account a farewell and thank you message, after resigning on Sunday after being left out of the socialist candidacies for the Congress and the Senate.

Martín, who had held the Government Delegation in the capital since March 2023, stated that he is proud to have participated in a project "truly committed to peace, progress, equality, and social justice," an initiative that, he wrote, "deserves and must continue" and that also unfolds in Madrid "despite the difficulties."

"A hard and complex, but also exciting path"

In his message, Francisco Martín assures that he is closing a stage of work that he defines as "walking a hard and complex, but also exciting path," a journey he describes as "full of important advances, many of them now threatened."

The former Government delegate also wanted to thank the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and those who have allowed him to assume responsibilities throughout these years, in which he admits having made successes and mistakes, "but always pursuing doing things well."

The BOE publishes the dismissal of Pilar Trinidad

The farewell of Francisco Martín coincides with the publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of the dismissal of the Government's subdelegate in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, a move that occurs on the same day and that, according to socialist sources, does not rule out a possible replacement after the resignation of the former delegate.
