Más Madrid will take the spokesperson of Isabel Díaz Ayuso's Government, Miguel Ángel García Martín, before the Central Electoral Board for his interventions in the press conference after the Governing Council. The formation thus responds to the complaint that the PP has filed against Pedro Sánchez for his appearance on Tuesday in Moncloa, after the Council of Ministers.

In a statement to which ElConstitucional.es has had access, Más Madrid accuses the regional Executive of using the Real Casa de Correos to attack the central Government and defend Ayuso. Their argument is directed at the 'popular' party. If they consider Sánchez's appearance to be a rally, they argue, they must apply the same criterion to what happens in the press conferences of the Community of Madrid.

The PP went to the Electoral Board because of the words of the President of the Government when announcing the housing decrees again, just two days after calling the general elections for November 29. The 'popular' party considers that Sánchez took advantage of an institutional act to praise his management and ask for a broader parliamentary majority. They have requested that a sanctioning file be opened and that the video be removed from the Moncloa website.

The response to Ayuso's press conference

García Martín's appearance this Wednesday has given Más Madrid an immediate example for their complaint. From the regional Government headquarters, the spokesperson called the central Executive's housing decrees "a fraud, an electoral pamphlet". He also defended Ayuso's stance on postal voting, after the Madrid president asked citizens to vote in person on 29N.

"Ms. Ayuso systematically uses the press conference of the Governing Council of the Community of Madrid as a propaganda loudspeaker for the Popular Party," states the legal spokesperson for Más Madrid, Hugo Martínez Abarca, in statements sent to ElConstitucional.es. He reproaches her for using that space to attack the Government and for, from that same press conference, questioning the electoral use of Sánchez's appearance.

The complaint announced by Más Madrid is directed against García Martín, as spokesperson for the regional Executive's press conference. The PP's complaint against Sánchez has already been filed. It will be up to the Electoral Board to examine each intervention and decide if any violated the rules of institutional neutrality during the electoral period.
